Meet Dr. Megan Cassels-Conway
Dr. Cassels-Conway was raised in Pennsylvania where she received degrees in Animal Bioscience and Journalism from Penn State University. She went on to earn her DVM from the University of Georgia. Following veterinary school, she returned to practice in Pennsylvania before moving to South Florida. Her special interests are in soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery and internal medicine.
Dr. Cassels-Conway also recently received her Fear Free Certification, meaning she successfully completed an extensive education program to learn tips on calming pets and improving their overall experiences when they visit the vet. It’s important for pets to be calm and relaxed during their visit not just for their own comfort, but also because a calm demeanor allows for more accurate exams and tests. To keep her certification, she must take additional continuing education courses every year, meaning she’s always up to date on the latest care tips.
